Arm yourself with a route map and hire a bike for the day to explore the bridleways, drovers roads and local forests. We have enough bikes for a serveral families, from a tech moutain biking to the comfy saddle sort. Alternatively, devote yourself to a whole weekend of mountain biking on one of our biking breaks, meet fellow friends and enjoy delicious home-cooked food.

fly fishing Fishing
The river Teifi is renowned as being one of the best sea trout and salmon fishing rivers in the UK. There is excellent local river guiding and tuition available from well-known instructors. Sewin is primarily a Welsh fish and many fishermen travel to Wales from April onwards to take advantage of this. Those more interested in salmon fishing will find late summer and autumn the best time. Day and week visitor permits are available from Llandysul Angling Association - see our links page.

white water kayaking Kayaking & Canoeing
Experience the river Teifi first hand at the white water centre at Llandysul, only four miles from Ceridwen. They offer day courses for the complete novice, alongside advanced white water and river running courses. Please go to our links page for more detailed information.

For those after after a more sedate method of river transport, a traditional Canadian canoe can be paddled through the Cilgerran Gorge and it is even possible to canoe from Llechryd to Poppit Beach via Cardigan if the conditions are right.

Pembrokeshire and Cardigan Bay make up a diverse area coastal scenery and wildlife that we consider lucky to have as our playground. Cardigan Bay is home to the UK's only other school of bottlenose dolphins (alongside the Moray Firth in Scotland), whilst Pembrokeshire is Britain's only coastal (and warmest) national park. From the rugged cliffs and quiet inlets to large sweeping bays, sightings of seals, porpoises, otters and rare sea birds are quite common.
