Mountain bike hire and guided holidays

West Wales Trails is the first centre in the UK to offer Orange bikes for hire - a British company with an impressive track record. We have the 2006 Gringos and the G2 models.

We offer free delivery and collection service of our hire bikes to your accommodation or start point within 10 miles of Drefach-Felindre, but delivery can be arranged further a field for an additional cost.

Each bike is serviced before hire and includes a lock, helmet, and a maintenance kit to go with the group. We send you away with a few tips on techniques and bike maintenance and then arm you with a chosen route map.

We can help you with techniques and offer trips from 2 hour blasts to full day epics

We ask for a £50 deposit per bike, to show 2 forms of ID and we ask if we can take your photo!

Saratoga Ladies and Gents
• It's not all about big mountain climbs so we're also got Dawes hybrids for those that want comfort over performance.

For the little people we've got a range of Dawes kids bikes and a tag along.

Bandit
• 13" frame on a 24" wheel - To suit inside leg of 23" to 27"
• 18 speed Shimano with revo grip shifters
• Zoom suspension fork

Redtail
• 11" frame on a 20" wheel - To suit an inside leg of 20" to 23"
• 6 speed Shimano with revo grip shifter

Bobtail
• 11" frame 20" wheel - To suit inside leg of 19.5" to 23"

• These tag-a-long bikes or bike trains are perfect for children aged 4-9 who otherwise wouldn't be able to keep up.

Mountain Biking Breaks…

Sitting on (or over) a saddle can be the most natural thing on earth for some people. We encourage everyone to get something special out of mountain biking, whether it's enjoying the fantastic scenery or the steep downhill single-track that they've been longing for. The most important single thing to remember is that you are the one in control of your bike, if you don't fancy a section, then get off and walk it. Cycling is fun for all ages and abilities.

Enjoy a short break with Matt, a qualified SMBLA trail leader as your guide to let you experience your own taste of adventure. We welcome all sorts from the complete novice with no kit to the seasoned pro with all the gear. Team participation, safety and fun are paramount when guiding groups so the trip will be tailored to suit all abilities.

Our biking breaks include 2 nights accommodation and 2 days guiding, full-board. Food is the really special part and we feel quite proud to say that we source nearly all of our fresh ingredients from our organic market garden. Wholesome, vegetarian fare is the only one on the menu and rest assured that it will satisfy even the hungriest of carnivorous appetites.

We welcome individuals, couples and small groups on the weekends listed below. For organised groups of 6 or more, please enquire for short breaks at any time of the year. Non-cycling guests are just as welcome for a less active break with plenty to see and do in the area.
