Ceridwen Residential Centre
Residential Centre for Short Courses The centre is an excellent base to explore the regions or just relax and do nothing, choose to have an exhilarating experience or a peaceful hide-away. We can organise team-building events and outdoor pursuits for businesses and active holiday groups or simply provide a warm, friendly welcome. We run West Wales Trails in combination with Ceridwen, offering bike hire for the area and guided moutain biking breaks, serving wholesome organic veggie food. Once you have made yourself at home in Ceridwen, there are plenty of things to see and do without even stepping into the car. There is an abundance of wildlife and every day we see red kites and buzzards flying over the farm and hear the barn owls at dusk. You can go for a walk through the fields, down by the stream and visit our organic garden. Everywhere feels special, but the sound chamber stands tall in spiritual energy. Located on ley lines running through the farm, it was created through intuition and skill and demands the greatest respect from all those who visit.

This area of the Teifi valley was once the heart of the Welsh woollen industry, with as many as thirty mills running in the Velindre area. Woollen trails are well mapped and follow old drovers' roads and pass crumbling mills. Just a short walk into the village brings you to the National Wool Museum, an interactive treat of welsh life, culture and a once thriving heritage. The museum operates as a working mill and sells a contemporary range of woollen goods and also welcomes commissions.

Also within walking distance is Saron golf course, it offers value for money, pay-and-play golf across 9 holes with 18 tees. The Henllan narrow gauge steam railway is only a short drive over the river and is close to the West Wales Museum of Childhood.

Residential Centre for Short Courses From country to coast, from small sandy bays on the west to vast sweeping sands in the south, the Pembrokeshire Coastal path and the Marine Heritage Coast of Cardigan Bay are both within easy reach. The dramatic Ceredigion coastline is only a twenty-minute drive and is superb for walking, horse riding, or just eating ice cream at picturesque Llangrannog. The beaches of Pendine and Pembrey in the south of Carmarthenshire (40 minutes drive) are invigoratingly immense and offer opportunities for kite surfing and endless stretches of dog walking!

Carmarthenshire is fondly known as the 'Garden of Wales' and the National Botanic Gardens is a fantastic modern day testament to the title. It centers around the Great Glass House, the largest single-span glasshouse in the world. The historical Aberglasney Gardens are also a real delight, if only for sitting on the terrace having afternoon tea on a hot summer's day.

Residential Centre for Short Courses The Welsh Wildlife Centre and Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve near Cilgerran make up 264 acres of international conservation area. Amongst the well-maintained trails, the reserve is home to the natural habitats of otters, badgers, water voles and the more unusual water buffalo in the marshes around the estuary. The award-winning visitor centre completes the whole wildlife experience. Combine wildlife and landscape with a trip to Cilgerran Castle, overlooking the river Teifi down to a steep gorge, where canoe trips run daily from the Wildlife Centre nearby. To satisfy more wildlife hunger, consider a dolphin-watching trip from Newquay harbour where you can get the chance to see bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic grey seals and harbour porpoises in their own surroundings.

For action-packed family days out, the choice is equally wide. Enjoy the attractions at Oakwood Leisure Park or Groveland Adventure World. The Dyfed Shire Horse Farm, Folly Farm, Cardigan Island Farm Park and Heron's Brook also offer fun for all. Pemberton's Chocolate Farm is another winner for all the family and the adults can take home some worthwhile souvenirs!

For leisure facilities, including swimming pools, there are centres in Newcastle Emlyn, Llandysul, Cardigan and Carmarthen.
